Description
Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel/Contract Position
Location: Rockville, Maryland
Setting: Outpatient
Job Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: Preferred Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM; flexible to 5 days/week if needed
- Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours/day)
- Daily Caseload: 6-7 pediatric patients
- Patient Population: Pediatrics
- Documentation System: Cerner
- Productivity Expectation: Bill 25 hours per week (scheduled 29 hours/week)
- Therapy Team Model: Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Team
- Equipment Available: Parallel bars, LiteGait, Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES)
- Dress Code: Any scrub color
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Pediatric Physical Therapist experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Background checks within 30 days of start covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including SSN trace, nationwide sex offender, FACIS Level 3, education verification, and international searches if applicable
- Primary source verification of Maryland PT license, valid and not expiring within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 30 days of start, including latex allergy information
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive quantitative titer with lab values)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive quantitative titer with lab values)
- Hepatitis B series and quantitative surface antibody titer with lab values or declination form
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 60 days of start; if positive, chest X-ray within last year or physician statement required
- Fit test for N95 mask within 1 year of start, updated annually (initial fit test cannot be done onsite)
- 10-panel drug screen including marijuana within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption form required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination required for tracking purposes
- Completion of facility-specific orientation and safety modules prior to start
- Photo for badge must be submitted immediately after signing contract (specific photo guidelines apply)
Additional Notes
- Locals are accepted for this position
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Orientation includes medication calculation exam and competency testing as applicable
- Facility is a teaching outpatient clinic specializing in pediatric rehabilitation
