Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
- Perform radiologic technologist duties in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Special Procedures lab, including scrubbing in and running X-ray equipment.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Evaluate images for quality to support physician diagnosis.
- Maintain procedural areas, equipment, and materials in a clean, orderly, and prepared state throughout the day.
- Position and prep patients and equipment for all procedures.
- Report unusual reactions or conditions to nursing staff.
- Rotate among shifts or departments as needed to meet patient care demands.
- Participate in up to 16 hours of unpaid orientation.
- Must be able to take call.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New Hampshire
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current New Hampshire ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) license
- Completion of a certificate or degree program in radiologic technology
- Competency with Balloon Pump devices
- Competency with Impella devices
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in scrubbing and assisting during cardiac catheterization and special procedures.
- Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining X-ray and related imaging equipment.
- Competent with Balloon Pump and Impella devices.
- Ability to explain procedures and include patients in their care.
- Strong judgment and sensitivity to patient and organizational concerns.
Additional Information
- The employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
