Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Travel Position

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

• Unit: Coronary Care Unit (CCU) / ICU
• Number of Beds: 26
• Staff per Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech (both day and night shifts)
• Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 2 patients
• Equipment Used: Balloon pumps, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Hypothermia equipment
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Meditech EMR experience
• Prior travel experience in large facility ICU units is preferred but not required

Typical Procedures Performed

• Heart catheterizations
• Use of balloon pumps
• CRRT management
• Hypothermia protocol
• Cardioversion
• Central line care
• Medication drips
