Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU Travel Position

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit Information

  • Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Number of Beds: 51
  • Staffing:
    • Day Shift: 18 RNs, 1 charge RN, 2 RTs, tech
    • Night Shift: 18 RNs, 1 charge RN, 2 RTs
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4
  • EMR System: Cerner
  • Floating Areas: Pediatrics, PICU, Mother Baby (babies only)
  • Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Job Description

  • Work in a Level III NICU within a large acute care hospital
  • Participate in care for critically ill neonates using advanced neonatal nursing skills
  • Typical procedures performed on the unit involve specialized neonatal care (details not specified)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, with NICU experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Schedule

  • Approximately 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required for weekend shifts and on-call coverage
