Job Opportunity: CVICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
  • Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
  • Schedule: Every other weekend required
  • Float Opportunities: May float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, Burn ICU as needed
  • Local Radius: 75 miles (no local candidates accepted)
  • Scrub Color: Navy
  • Welcoming first-time travel nurses

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma
  • CVICU (2 years of experience)
  • CVICU experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience
  • Neuro ICU experience
  • Burn ICU experience

Additional Information

  • Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are welcome
  • Background checks include SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender, and education verification
  • Fingerprinting required only for New Mexico placements (not applicable here)
  • Orientation includes safety manual acknowledgment and HIPAA compliance
  • References are not required for clearance but may be requested internally
  • Candidates must be able to work every other weekend and float to other ICU units as needed
