Shift: Day (06:30 AM - 03:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 (weekly guaranteed)

Job Summary

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to work in the Operating Room. The position involves supporting surgical procedures primarily in general surgery, orthopedics, C-sections and other gynecological surgeries, ENT, pediatric dental, and urology cases. Vascular case experience is preferred but not required. The role requires teamwork and the ability to work well with others.

Unit Information

• Operating Room with 5 ORs
• Patient population mostly adult and geriatric, with some pediatrics (tonsils and dental restorations)
• Equipment used includes Bovie, laparoscopic towers, Hana table, Urology table, Laser litho, Harmonic scalpel, and stirrups
• Electronic Health Record system: Meditech Magic
• Call requirements: 1-2 weekends per month and 1-2 weekdays per week (callback cases)
• Patient ratio: one patient at a time

Required Qualifications

• Valid Certified Surgical Technologist license in Virginia
• Certified Surgical Technologist (2 years of experience)
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS
• CST

• No DaVinci robot cases
• Float requirements: None
• Weekend and weekday call required as noted
• Scrub color is provided and must be worn
