Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location

Miami, Florida

Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab (CVL)
Number of beds: 13
Number of staff: 30 (RNs and Cardiovascular Technologists)
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 3 patients
Equipment used: Phillips and GE
Documentation systems: Meditech, Mac Lab
Floor: 2nd floor
Call requirements: On-call during nights, weekends, after hours, and major holidays
Typical shift hours: Day shift 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM or until all cases are completed; night shift is on-call
Weekly hours: Approximately 36 hours (typically 5 days, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
Peripheral procedures
Structural Heart interventions
Electrophysiology (EP) procedures

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Florida
Cardiac Cath Lab (2 years of experience)
Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Cardiac catheterization experience

Preferred Qualifications

Previous cardiac catheterization lab experience
Ability to function independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

Scrub color provided by the institution
On-call coverage includes every other weekend
