Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location

  • Miami, Florida

  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

  • Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab (CVL)
  • Number of beds: 13
  • Number of staff: 30 (RNs and Cardiovascular Technologists)
  • Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 3 patients
  • Equipment used: Phillips and GE
  • Documentation systems: Meditech, Mac Lab
  • Floor: 2nd floor
  • Call requirements: On-call during nights, weekends, after hours, and major holidays
  • Typical shift hours: Day shift 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM or until all cases are completed; night shift is on-call
  • Weekly hours: Approximately 36 hours (typically 5 days, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Typical Procedures

  • Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
  • Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
  • Peripheral procedures
  • Structural Heart interventions
  • Electrophysiology (EP) procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Florida
  • Cardiac Cath Lab (2 years of experience)
  • Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Cardiac catheterization experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous cardiac catheterization lab experience
  • Ability to function independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

  • Scrub color provided by the institution
  • On-call coverage includes every other weekend
