RN - Emergency Department

Overview

Travel assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee
Emergency Department role
13-week contract
36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
PALS
CPI
Experience in Charge roles

Unit Details

19-bed Emergency Department
Typical patient ratio: 4:1
Mostly RN staffing, with unit secretary, PCT, paramedic, security guard, and armed officer support
Floating is encouraged but not required

Clinical Environment

Standard Emergency Department procedures
Support for difficult procedures such as lumbar puncture, intubation, and central line placement
Charge nurse experience is needed for an alternate charge role
