Job Opportunity: Perfusionist

Location

Work Schedule

• Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Must stay if an OR case is in progress at shift end
• On-call every night while covering

Required Qualifications

• Valid Perfusionist license in Tennessee
• Perfusionist (1 year of experience)
• Perfusionist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Two forms of government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, social security card, passport)
• Background check within 60 days of start including statewide, county, federal searches, and education verification (no international searches required)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
• Education verification (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
• Separate sex offender search and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (for TN only)
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
• Fit test for 3M N-95 masks within 1 year (must pass without limitations)
• Immunization requirements:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for this facility)
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 30)
• Two recent professional references
• Skills checklist and internal evaluation if employed with agency for one year or more

Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required (AHA or ARC)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred due to pediatric patient population

Facility Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs for RNs; specific scrub colors for other roles
• No prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
• Business casual with white lab coat for RN Case Managers
• Photo badge required prior to start with strict guidelines (passport-style photo, no hats, no glasses glare, no filters, recent within 6 months)

This position is ideal for certified perfusionists with pediatric experience who are comfortable with a consistent day shift schedule and on-call responsibilities. Compliance with detailed credentialing, immunization, and background requirements is mandatory.
