Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Job Overview

  • Location: Gardner, Massachusetts
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Weekly hours: 36
  • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Call requirement: None
  • Float requirement: None
  • Patient ratio: 1:5
  • Scrubs: Any color

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Massachusetts
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • NRP
  • TNCC

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

  • Massachusetts statewide iCORI release
  • Massachusetts statewide iCORI clearance/attestation
  • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, including all aliases, counties, national, sex offender, and education verification
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
  • Education verification or official transcript
  • Primary source verification of state license
  • Passport-style photo for badge
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask within 1 year of start
  • Adult Tdap within 10 years of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
  • TB questionnaire
  • Measles immunity documentation
  • Mumps immunity documentation
  • Rubella immunity documentation
  • Hepatitis B immunity documentation
  • Varicella immunity documentation
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccination documentation or declination during flu season
  • COVID booster documentation or declination
  • Skills checklist annually

Unit Details

  • Medication/documentation/communication systems used on the unit: Omnicell, Meditech
  • Unit orientation: 12 hours on unit, plus additional hospital orientation
