Description
Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Location
- Fishersville, Virginia
Schedule
- Night shift, 3x12 hours
- 19:00–07:00
- Every other weekend required
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Setting
- General Emergency Department
- Combined adult/pediatric skills
- Non-trauma ED
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Relevant Skills
- EKG reading/monitoring
- Blood product administration
- IV skills
- CVA skills
- Maintaining PPE
- Triage
Charting
- Meditech preferred
Other Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID
- 2 professional references
- Current application/resume
- Skills checklist for the applicable specialty
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB screening or chest X-ray
- Tdap within the past 10 years
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start, including marijuana
- 7-year criminal background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- Virginia State Police background check
- Completion of required pre-start facility documents and acknowledgements
