RN - Med Surg

Job Overview

Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment type: Travel
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS
HHCCA De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting

Preferred Qualifications

Surgical experience
Medical experience
Mom/baby experience with NRP preferred

Unit Details

Med/Surg/Onc unit
30 beds
Estimated patient ratios: 1:1 to 3:1
RN staffing varies by census, with 4-6 RNs on day and night shifts
Typical procedures include cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and medical management

Work Environment

Remote tele equipment
Meditech EMR
Independent work style may be needed, including working with one other RN or alone
Strong customer service, confidence, and an outgoing attitude are valued
