Registered Nurse — MS/Telemetry

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Norton, Virginia
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS

Schedule / Assignment Notes

• General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online CBLs
• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation
• One shift may be canceled or called off biweekly without financial penalty if census decreases
• Additional shifts may be flexed based on census or resource needs without penalty
• Traveler must be preclosed before submission

Compliance / Onboarding

• Background check required
• Education verification required
• Drug screen required within 14 days of start
• Fit testing completed onsite for candidates with patient contact
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start
• TB clearance required
• MMR, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• References required: 2 accepted, 3 preferred
