ICU Travel/Contract RN
Overview
- Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours
- Weekly hours: 36
Unit Details
- Float pool position with floating as needed to ICU, CIVCU, NICU, SICU, MICU, TICU, Burn, Neuro ICU, and Burn ICU
- Patient ratio: 1:2
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday requirement: Yes
- Call requirement: No
- Scrubs: Navy blue
- Maximum time off request: 5 days
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Critical Care Float (2 years of experience)
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- CPI certification
- CCRN certification

- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- Sex offender search
- TB screening or chest X-ray
- TB questionnaire
- Tdap vaccination or approved exemption
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
- Drug screening
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption when in season
- Employment application with 7 years of work history and no gaps over 30 days
- Skills checklist
- Physical exam
- Core competency requirements and medication/pharmacology competency exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
- State license verification and NURSYS verification
