NICU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
Weekly hours: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Details

Neonatal intermediate/NICU setting
46-bed unit
Typical patient population: neonates over 34 weeks
Common care includes post-op patients, central lines, and septic workups
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3/4

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

NICU III experience
At least 1 year of EPIC experience

Work Expectations

Floating to other NICU/pediatric areas is required when not needed in the unit
Call is required, at least 3 per contract
Weekend coverage is every other weekend, though this may change based on need

Additional Notes

First-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience
Medication system used: Pyxis
Documentation system used: EPIC
