NICU Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Location: Greenville, South Carolina
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
- Weekly hours: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit Details
- Neonatal intermediate/NICU setting
- 46-bed unit
- Typical patient population: neonates over 34 weeks
- Common care includes post-op patients, central lines, and septic workups
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3/4
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- NICU III experience
- At least 1 year of EPIC experience
Work Expectations
- Floating to other NICU/pediatric areas is required when not needed in the unit
- Call is required, at least 3 per contract
- Weekend coverage is every other weekend, though this may change based on need
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience
- Medication system used: Pyxis
- Documentation system used: EPIC
