PCU
Overview
- Location: Bloomington, Indiana
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 36
- Unit type: ED hold/boarding unit with possible float to an inpatient PCU unit
Role Details
- RN will care for medical-surgical and PCU-type patients in an ED boarding area
- This is a float position and may be floated to an inpatient PCU unit
- The unit uses team nursing with RN/LPN collaboration at times
- Patient ratios can fluctuate based on acuity and staffing
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Cerner
Schedule Requirements
- Every other weekend
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
