Medical Surgical Nurse

Job Overview

Location: Tyrone, Pennsylvania
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
Contract length: 13 weeks
Local candidate restriction: No locals within 50 miles

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
Med Surg (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements

Government-issued photo ID
Background check, including criminal search, sex offender search, county searches, statewide search, and federal exclusions checks
FBI fingerprinting in Pennsylvania
Child abuse search
Education verification
Physical exam within 1 year of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the required timeframe
Drug screen within 30 days of start
Breathalyzer test within 30 days of start
COVID vaccine or facility declination
Flu vaccine or facility declination during flu season
Tdap vaccination within the past 10 years or facility declination
Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation or accepted declinations
Orientation packet, medical surveillance checklist, bloodborne pathogen quiz, and badge photo
Skills checklist
