Interventional Radiology Procedural RN
Location
- Columbia, Missouri

Schedule
- Day shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Monday–Friday with weekend and weeknight call rotation
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Role Overview
- Provides head-to-toe patient assessment and monitors for complications
- Performs procedural sedation support for invasive and non-invasive procedures
- Communicates procedure information and patient needs to patients, families, and care team members
- Must be able to make critical decisions, respond to critical situations, and adapt quickly across departments
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Interventional Radiology (2 years of experience)
- Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- IV Insertion
- PICC/Central Line Management
- Vascular Device Access/Care
- Tele Interpretation
- Cardioversion/Defibrillation
- Procedural Sedation
- OR Circulate experience

- IV insertion

- Telemetry interpretation

- Procedural sedation
- Circulating in OBGYN/OR settings
Procedures and Clinical Exposure
- Sedation for port placements/removals
- Sedation for tunneled and non-tunneled line placements/removals
- CT-guided biopsies
- Chest tube placements
- CT-guided drain placements
- IVC filter placements/removals
- Nephrostomy tubes
- Neurovascular intervention for stroke
- Sedation for MRIs
- Port access/deaccess
- MRI defibrillator/cardiac device monitoring
- Chemo embolizations
- Uterine artery embolizations
Common Medications and Equipment
- Versed, Fentanyl, Cefazolin, Levaquin, Lidocaine, Nitroglycerin spray
- Computer, ISTAT, ACT machine, Penumbra, IV pump, vital sign machine
Additional Notes
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 for procedural sedation
- Travelers may be downstaffed to 36/48 hours in a 13-week contract based on weekly schedule
