Operating Room RN

Overview

Travel/contract RN position in Charleston, South Carolina
13-week assignment
Day shift: 3x12s, 10:30 AM–11:00 PM
First-time travelers accepted

Schedule and Work Expectations

Up to 2 weekend call shifts per month
Required to work at least one holiday period
Floating within scope and between like units/sister facilities is required
Block scheduling may be considered with manager approval, depending on unit needs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Facility and Unit Details

Level I trauma center
Teaching facility
Magnet hospital
Main operating room with 21 OR suites covering multiple surgical specialties
RN staff are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures

Additional Notes

Local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius
Parking permit requires a $20 registration fee for garage access
Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November
