ICU Registered Nurse

Overview

Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit focus: ICU/PCU float role; must be comfortable working in all ICU and PCU units

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
Experience with Epic

Scheduling and Work Expectations

May float 2–3 times per shift, with staffing re-evaluated every 4 hours
Weekend coverage may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
All requested time off, block scheduling, and special scheduling requests must be included with submission
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
First-time travelers are accepted
Local candidates are accepted within radius-rule criteria
