Description
ICU Registered Nurse
Overview
- Location: Roanoke, Virginia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Unit focus: ICU/PCU float role; must be comfortable working in all ICU and PCU units
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- Experience with Epic
Scheduling and Work Expectations
- May float 2–3 times per shift, with staffing re-evaluated every 4 hours
- Weekend coverage may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
- Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
- All requested time off, block scheduling, and special scheduling requests must be included with submission
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates are accepted within radius-rule criteria
