Pediatric OR Nurse

Job Overview

Travel/contract role in Saint Louis, Missouri
12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
First-timers not accepted
Pending license accepted
Local candidates not accepted; local radius rule is 75 miles

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Pediatrics OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
Pediatrics OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule and Call

On-call required: 1 weekend every 6 weeks and 4–6 weekdays every 6 weeks
Open to block scheduling: no

Clinical Setting and Duties

Pediatric operating room role in a children’s acute care teaching hospital
May float to all pediatric medical-surgical units and may float to ICU as RN assist
Case mix includes neuro, ortho, plastics, eyes, GU/GI, ENT, general, small amounts of GYN, spine, and some dental
No cardiac/vascular or thoracic cases for this assignment

In-house team available 24/7
