Telemetry Nurse

Overview

Location: Tyler, Texas
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks
Patient ratio: 1:6
Float requirement: Yes, to units of equal acuity
Unit size: 36 beds

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

Travel experience preferred

Certifications / Training

ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, and MAB may be required as applicable

Drivers License or State ID

Fingerprinting
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit test within 1 year of start
Tdap within 10 years of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
TB questionnaire if prior TB results are positive

Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
