Telemetry Nurse
Overview
- Location: Tyler, Texas
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Patient ratio: 1:6
- Float requirement: Yes, to units of equal acuity
- Unit size: 36 beds
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- Travel experience preferred
Certifications / Training
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, and MAB may be required as applicable
Screening / Compliance
- Drivers License or State ID
- E-Verify
- Background check
- Education verification
- Fingerprinting
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test within 1 year of start
- Tdap within 10 years of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire if prior TB results are positive
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity/documentation
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
