Operating Room RN

Overview

Specialty: Ambulatory OR RN
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day, 4x10 hours (6:30 AM–5:00 PM)
Schedule notes: Scheduled late a few times per month; day off depends on department needs; block scheduling may be accommodated at manager’s discretion
Call: No on-call requirement
Floating: May float within perioperative services to meet facility needs
Local candidates: Accepted within 60 miles
First-time travelers: Not accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Ophthalmology experience
ENT Surgery experience
Surgical Oncology experience
Plastic Surgery experience
Orthopedics experience

Work Setting

Pre-op/PACU environment with perioperative patient flow
Cases include orthopedics, interventional radiology, and GI procedures
The unit does not perform general surgery, labor and delivery, or pediatrics
