EEG Tech
Overview
- Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours
- Weekly hours: 36
- Call: 1–2 call shifts every 6 weeks
- Weekend requirement: No
- First timers accepted: Yes, if all other requirements are met
- Local candidates accepted: Yes
Work Setting
- Short-term acute care
- Cases include epilepsy monitoring unit, sEEG, neurotelemetry, ictal SPECT, routine EEG, trauma, and critical care
- Must be comfortable with all patient populations
- Must be willing to float between pediatric and adult hospital settings if asked
- Training may include 5x8 day shifts during the first 1–2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- EEG Technologist (2 years of experience)
- EEG Technologist experience within the last year
- ABRET
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- R.EEG T
- Collodion/glue EEG hook-up
Schedule Notes
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- 1 pre-approved time-off request allowed per contract
