Description
PCU Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Richmond, Virginia
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Unit: Main 11 West Neuro PCU
- Patient ratio: 1:4
- Locals are allowed at the same rate
- Epic experience is required
Required Qualifications
- Active permanent RN license; temporary RN licenses are not accepted
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Certification are listed as unit-based certification requirements
- Degree from a nursing program accredited by NLN or CCNE
- 2 references
- Complete application/resume
- Skills checklist, updated annually
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Color blind testing
- Abuse reporting competency
- HIPAA acknowledgement
- Physical exam within 1 year showing ability to meet job demands
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- TB screening documentation
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella titers
- Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Drug testing within 60 days of start
- Flu vaccine or exemption documentation, as applicable
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify/I-9 attestation
- Background checks and verification items required by the source data
Start-of-Assignment Compliance
- Orientation includes pharmacology exam, point-of-care testing, and airborne precaution mask fitting for all RNs
- Modules assigned during orientation must be completed by the Friday of orientation week
- Fingerprinting and child protective services-related submissions may be required depending on assignment location and unit, with proof of submission allowed while results are pending
