RN Case Manager with Utilization Review Experience

Job Overview

  • Specialty: Nursing
  • Location: Bozeman, Montana

  • Shift: Day shift, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Weekend rotation: Required

Required Qualifications

  • Montana Registered Nurse license
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • At least 2 years of nursing experience
  • Utilization review experience
  • Must live at least 90 miles away from the facility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • 2 years of acute care hospital experience as a case manager

Role Summary

  • Works with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and manage plans of care
  • Monitors patient progress, identifies barriers to care, and supports discharge planning
  • Performs comprehensive assessments, ongoing care-plan monitoring, and case management outreach

Schedule Notes

  • Regular and sustained attendance is required
  • May require work beyond a standard 40-hour week
  • On-call work may be required

Work Environment

  • Busy and stressful environment
  • Uses computer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications, and standard office equipment
  • May involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, chemicals, medications, radiation, and emotionally challenging situations
