RN - Med Surg

Location

Kansas City, Missouri

Assignment Details

Travel assignment
13 weeks
36 hours per week
Unit schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts
Weekend requirement: 3 weekend shifts per schedule period
Floating: first to float; may float to other MedSurg level-of-care units

Unit Overview

23-bed orthopedic/trauma unit
Patient ratio: 1:4 to 1:5
Common patient population includes post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, trauma patients, and some neuro overflow

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
Med Surg experience within the last year
1 year of Med Surg experience
Ortho Trauma experience

Preferred / Helpful Experience

Orthopedic experience
Telemetry experience
NIH experience

Additional Notes

Navy scrubs required
Documentation system used: Meditech
