Labor and Delivery

Job Overview

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse
  • Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

  • Work in labor and delivery and postpartum.
  • Float between postpartum and labor and delivery/OR.
  • May also work antepartum and OR/PACU as part of labor and delivery coverage.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Michigan
  • 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • Experience working in a large teaching facility
  • Post Partum experience
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure

Schedule and Unit Details

  • Ratio: 1:3
  • Call: None
  • Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period

Additional Requirements

  • Flu vaccination required during flu season with no exemptions
  • 2 supervisory references required at submission
  • Background check required
  • Physical exam required within 1 year of start
  • Fit test required within 1 year of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 1 year of start
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 30 days of start
  • Completion of required onboarding and attestation documents before start
