Description
Cardiac Telemetry RN
Overview
- Location: Portland, Oregon
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Start dates: Tuesday or Thursday starts on 8/25, 9/1, or 9/8
- Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Assignment length: 13 weeks
- Patient ratio: 1:4
- First-time travelers accepted: Yes
- Local candidates accepted: Yes
- Floating: May float within scope to Acute Care/IMC
- On-call: No
- Block scheduling: Not guaranteed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- Epic experience
Unit Details
- Cardiology, EPS, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and advanced heart failure patient populations
- Safe patient mobilization equipment, including ceiling lifts, is available in most patient rooms
Schedule Expectations
- 4 weekend shifts per month
- Time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application
- Up to 5 RTO days may be approved for a 13-week assignment
Additional Notes
- Scrubs: Any color, no prints; provided
- Parking is available for a daily fee
- A valid government-issued photo ID is required on the first day
- Background check, work history verification, references, and several health/compliance documents are required before start
