Job Overview

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
PALS
CPI
NIH Certification
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Strong IV skills with adults and pediatric patients

Preferred Qualifications

Trauma experience
TNCC
Meditech experience

Unit Highlights

22-bed emergency department
Approx. 50 staff members
Patient ratio: 1:4
Potential floating to a freestanding emergency department about 15 minutes away

Commonly Performed Procedures

Cardioversion
Central line placements
Cardiac arrests
IV insertions and EKGs
Pacemaker interrogation
Code Stroke protocol
Code Sepsis protocol
Suture and abscess setup

Schedule

Every other weekend
At least 1 Friday and 1 Monday in a 4-week schedule
No on-call requirement
