NICU Registered Nurse

Location

Edmonds, Washington

Job Type

Travel/Contract
Night shift, 3x12 hours
36 hours per week
13-week contract

Overview

Level II NICU admissions and normal newborn care
Care for infants 32 weeks or greater
Float as needed
May attend vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
Uses CPAP/BiPap, feeding tubes, and syringe pumps
NICU nurses are not expected to care for mother-baby couplets unless they already have the skill and competencies

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Washington
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
CLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Notes

Previous permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months before qualifying for a travel position
Float policy acknowledgment is required
