RN - PACU
Overview
- Location: San Marcos, Texas
- Employment type: Travel
- Work type: Full time
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day; 4x10 schedule can be accommodated
- Start: ASAP only
- Temp-to-perm: Possible
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Critical Care experience
- PreOp experience
- EPIC experience
- Perioperative RN Residency or recent OR/Perioperative experience
- Preoperative experience
Patient Population
- General
- Ortho
- Urology
- ENT
- Cath lab
- Endo
- GYN
- PEDS
Notable Exclusions
- No neuro patients
- No cardio patients
Onboarding / Training
- New hires attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days
- Initial onboarding includes competency validation and department-specific competency validation
- Annual competency verification is required
