Job Overview

Travel RN position in Johnstown, Pennsylvania

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS

Preferred Qualifications

NIH certification
Swallow Screen certification
Neuro experience
Competency in dysrhythmia

Schedule / Work Expectations

Weekly orientation on Mondays
Weekend coverage required
May float if needed, though rarely
Must be available for holidays as assigned
Straight weekends may be considered

Unit Details

22-bed unit
Typical patient ratio: 5:1 to 6:1
Common patient needs include stroke, TIA, seizure, mobility issues, urinary issues, respiratory issues, and occasional cardiac care

Additional Notes

Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered travel
Dysrhythmia and math dosage testing occurs on day one of orientation
Scrubs may be any color
Unacceptable attire includes hoodies, T-shirts, shirts with wording or pictures, and facial piercings
