EP Lab RN Travel/Contract Job

Overview

Shift: Day, 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Electrophysiology Lab (1 year of experience)
Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Key Clinical Skills

Electrophysiology (EP) lab
Pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction/removal
Right heart catheterization
Watchman procedure
Arrhythmia induction
Cardioversion
Left atrial appendage closure
Pacemaker insertion
Tilt table study
Paracentesis
Procedural sedation administration/monitoring
Assist with central line insertion/management
Blood product administration
Implanted ports care and maintenance
PICC line care and maintenance
Starting and maintaining IVs
Activated clotting time (ACT)
Circulate procedures
End-tidal CO2 monitoring
Infection prevention
Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
Isolation precautions/PPE
Laser-assisted procedure
Malignant hyperthermia protocol
Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG
Radiation and laser safety
Sheath removal/monitoring
Vascular closure systems
Topical hemostasis

Work Expectations

On-call: No
Floating: May be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
Local candidates: Not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
Pending license: Not accepted
RTO limit: No more than 7 days
Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
