EP Lab RN Travel/Contract Job

Overview

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Electrophysiology Lab (1 year of experience)
  • Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Key Clinical Skills

  • Electrophysiology (EP) lab
  • Pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction/removal
  • Right heart catheterization
  • Watchman procedure
  • Arrhythmia induction
  • Cardioversion
  • Left atrial appendage closure
  • Pacemaker insertion
  • Tilt table study
  • Paracentesis
  • Procedural sedation administration/monitoring
  • Assist with central line insertion/management
  • Blood product administration
  • Implanted ports care and maintenance
  • PICC line care and maintenance
  • Starting and maintaining IVs
  • Activated clotting time (ACT)
  • Circulate procedures
  • End-tidal CO2 monitoring
  • Infection prevention
  • Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
  • Isolation precautions/PPE
  • Laser-assisted procedure
  • Malignant hyperthermia protocol
  • Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG
  • Radiation and laser safety
  • Sheath removal/monitoring
  • Vascular closure systems
  • Topical hemostasis

Work Expectations

  • On-call: No
  • Floating: May be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
  • Local candidates: Not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
  • Pending license: Not accepted
  • RTO limit: No more than 7 days
  • Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
