CT Tech

Job Overview

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Location: Newnan, Georgia
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Day, 5x8 hours
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Call: Rotating after-hours and weekend call required every 5 weeks
  • Setting: Fast-paced CT department in an oncology-based hospital
  • Equipment: 2 Siemens CT scanners with interventional packages
  • First-time travelers: Accepted
  • Scrubs: Provided

Required Qualifications

  • CT Technologist with 2 years of experience
  • CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT (CT)
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Experience in an Outpatient setting
  • Siemens CT scanner operation
  • Abdomen imaging without and/or with contrast
  • Pelvis imaging without and/or with contrast
  • Vascular chest imaging (pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta)
  • Carotid imaging
  • Head imaging without and/or with contrast
  • Sinuses imaging
  • Soft tissue neck imaging
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

  • ARRT R certification
  • Experience with the emergency department, colorectal studies, heart studies, trauma head, isolation precautions, starting peripheral IVs, venipuncture, vascular CTA, musculoskeletal trauma, and various CT interventional procedures

Additional Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Background check covering all locations lived, worked, or attended school in the past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Verification of highest level of education
  • Annual skills checklist
  • Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgement
  • Annual state license verification as applicable
  • Physical exam within the last 12 months
  • Tdap within 10 years or declination
  • TB screening or chest X-ray within the stated timeframes
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/documentation as specified
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, including marijuana
  • Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination during flu season
  • Confidentiality agreement
  • COVID declination if not up to date on the seasonal COVID vaccine
  • Hepatitis B declination if non-immune titer
  • Nicotine-free facility policy applies
