Job Overview

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Virginia RN license
  • Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Electrophysiology Lab experience
  • ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic
  • NURSYS verification for RNs
  • 2 references
  • Complete application/resume

Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • E-Verify / I-9 attestation
  • Criminal background check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Education verification
  • HIPAA acknowledgement
  • Color blind testing
  • Abuse reporting competency
  • Physical exam within 1 year
  • Tdap vaccine or declination
  • TB screening and TB questionnaire
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella titers; boosters required if titers are low
  • Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Drug screen within 60 days of start
  • Flu vaccine or approved exemption, depending on assignment dates and facility requirements

Orientation / Onboarding

  • Pharmacology exam
  • Point-of-care testing
  • Airborne precaution mask fitting
  • Unit modules during orientation, due by the Friday of orientation week

Notes

  • Performance evaluation is not required before start
  • No onsite renewals are offered for certifications
