Description
Pediatric Oncology RN
Location
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Schedule
- 3 12-hour night shifts per week
- 36 hours per week
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Summary
Provides nursing care in a hospital setting for patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Pediatric Hematology / Oncology (1 year of experience)
- Pediatric Hematology / Oncology experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- APHON Chemotherapy
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Preferred Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a Board Approved Program
Key Responsibilities
- Care for an assigned group of patients
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
- Assist with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatment
- Monitor patient physiological data and intervene when necessary
- Administer medications
- Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
- Communicate care plans and discharge information with patients and families
- Delegate tasks to support staff
