Medical Surgical Float

Job Overview

Location: Huntington, West Virginia
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks
Facility type: Short-term acute care, major teaching hospital, Level II Trauma
Staffed beds: 330

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in West Virginia
Float (2 years of experience)
Float experience within the last year
TNCC
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Work Environment

Black scrubs required
Cabell T-shirt may be worn instead of a scrub top
Surgery scrubs are provided if reporting to Surgery

Additional Notes

Cerner is used for charting
Free parking is available for travelers
Onsite fit testing is required
A physical exam is required
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap is required within 10 years of start
Seasonal flu and COVID vaccination or approved exemption documentation is required
