Medical Surgical Float
Job Overview
- Location: Huntington, West Virginia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Facility type: Short-term acute care, major teaching hospital, Level II Trauma
- Staffed beds: 330
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in West Virginia
- Float (2 years of experience)
- Float experience within the last year
- TNCC
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Work Environment
- Black scrubs required
- Cabell T-shirt may be worn instead of a scrub top
- Surgery scrubs are provided if reporting to Surgery
Additional Notes
- Cerner is used for charting
- Free parking is available for travelers
- Onsite fit testing is required
- A physical exam is required
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap is required within 10 years of start
- Seasonal flu and COVID vaccination or approved exemption documentation is required
