Location

• Bridgeport, West Virginia

Assignment Details

• 8-week travel assignment
• Start: ASAP
• 12-hour shifts, nights
• Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• Floating may include MedSurg/Telemetry units; Critical Care float is only possible if the nurse has that experience

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• Ability to titrate cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Integrelin, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, Nitro up to 50 mcg)

Unit Overview

• Telemetry/MedSurg float role
• Typical patient population includes cardiac, post-cath, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic, and oncology patients
• Nurses will not administer chemotherapy; oncology nurses handle chemo treatments
• RN-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6 depending on acuity

Work Environment

• Charge nurse available 24/7
• CNA support is available
• CPAP and BiPAP are managed by respiratory therapy
• Phillips telemetry monitors are used

Additional Notes

• Preferred weekly hours: 48, though 36 hours per week may be considered
• Scrub color: royal blue
• No false nails
