Description
RN - Orthopedic Surgery
Overview
- Travel RN position in Denver, Colorado
- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- 2 years of Orthopedics experience
- Orthopedics experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Med Surg experience
Preferred Experience
- ACLS
- Orthopedic/spine experience
- Medical-surgical experience
Unit Details
- Orthopedic/medical unit with two 18-bed units
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 4:1 for spine and 5:1 for orthopedic patients
- Common equipment includes telemetry, epidurals, PCAs, ice machines, and Sara Steady
Common Procedures
- Central line care
- Blood transfusions
- Foley and straight catheterization
