RN - Orthopedic Surgery

Overview

Travel RN position in Denver, Colorado
Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
2 years of Orthopedics experience
Orthopedics experience within the last year
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Med Surg experience

Preferred Experience

ACLS
Orthopedic/spine experience
Medical-surgical experience

Unit Details

Orthopedic/medical unit with two 18-bed units
Nurse-to-patient ratios: 4:1 for spine and 5:1 for orthopedic patients
Common equipment includes telemetry, epidurals, PCAs, ice machines, and Sara Steady

Common Procedures

Central line care
Blood transfusions
Foley and straight catheterization
