Travel Registered Nurse — Emergency Department
Overview
- Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico

- Shift: Midday, 9:00 AM–9:00 PM

- Floating: Required
- Patient ratio: 4:1
- Setting: Emergency Department, Level 3 Trauma
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- ENPC
- TNCC
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- NRP
Additional Requirements
- Fingerprints required for all New Mexico travelers
- Must be able to call out at least 2 hours before shift start
- Auto offers only; no interviews
- Blocked scheduling not approved
- 48-hour guarantees not approved
- Maximum 1 RTO per schedule
- 6-week scheduling
- RTO blackout dates or required holidays may apply
- Full uniform, any color scrubs
- EMR used: MedHost (EDIS)
Role Summary
- Provides emergency nursing care using the nursing process
- Performs assessments, communicates findings, administers medications, monitors side effects, and documents patient care
- Supports safe care delivery through critical thinking, leadership, and supervision of assigned personnel
