Assignment Overview

• Travel RN position in Asheville, North Carolina
• Specialty: ICU / STICU
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma patients

Unit Details

• 20-bed unit
• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Scrub colors: navy or white
• Travelers float before core staff and may float to other ICUs or Step Down
• Modified self-scheduling

Scheduling

• 6 weekend shifts required
• 6-week schedule

Clinical Environment

• Acute care ICU setting
• No LTAC experience considered
• Common procedures include intubation, extubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, A-line placement, Foley placement, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, proning, TPA administration, hypertonic medication administration, trach placement, EVD/bolt placement, CRRT/HD, irrigation and debridement, and minor surgery
