PICU Registered Nurse

Schedule
- 3x12-hour shifts
- Rotating days and nights based on need
- Every other weekend required
- Minimum of 2 holidays required
- Blocked schedules may be accommodated if willing to work all weekends
Unit Details
- PICU experience required
- Exposure to CICU required
- Float required, including to CICU/CVPICU as needed
- Ratios are 1:1 or 1:2
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Compliance and Onboarding
- Government-issued photo ID
- Social Security card or SSN
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation
- Transcript, diploma, or education verification
- Background check and fingerprinting required
- NURSYS verification required
- State license verification required
- References required
- Health screening form required
- Senate Bill 38 criminal disclosure required
- Physical exam required
- Fit mask completed onsite during orientation
- TB documentation required
- Tdap required
- Flu vaccination required during flu season
- Drug screening required
- Peds medication test required for all RNs
- Core competency testing required
- Annual updates required for several compliance items
Notes
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and are limited to 5 days
- Previous employees are not eligible for contract positions for 1 year after termination
