NICU RN
Job Overview
- Location: Richmond, Virginia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Local candidates: Accepted at the same rate
Required Qualifications
- Valid Virginia RN license; temporary RN licenses are not accepted
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- NRP
- Experience with Epic

- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify / I-9 attestation
- Criminal background check
- Federal exclusion checks
- Fingerprinting for NICU candidates
- Education verification
- NURSYS verification
- HIPAA acknowledgement
- Color blind testing
- Abuse reporting competency
- Physical exam within 1 year
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- TB screening and TB questionnaire
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella titers
- Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Drug screening within 60 days of start
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption
- 2 references
- Complete application/resume
- Skills checklist, updated annually
Orientation / Onboarding
- Pharmacology exam, point-of-care testing, and airborne precaution mask fitting are completed at orientation
- Unit modules are assigned during orientation and must be completed by the Friday of orientation week
