Job Overview

Assignment Details

• Works with pediatric and adolescent patients
• Serves grades K–12
• Travels between 3 buildings within the school district
• Assignment runs mid-November to mid-February
• First-time travelers accepted
• No locals within 50 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid School Services (Occupational Therapist) license in Pennsylvania
• Occupational Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NBCOT

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a school setting or pediatric setting
• Fieldwork experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred

• Background check

• Fingerprinting in Pennsylvania
• Child abuse search
• Drug screen
• Physical exam
• TB screening or chest X-ray
• COVID vaccine or declination
• Flu vaccine or declination
• Tdap vaccination
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation or acceptable alternatives
• Bloodborne pathogen quiz
• Orientation packet and acknowledgements
• Medical surveillance checklist
• Photo for badge
• Skills checklist
• Competency exam
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam, as applicable

Notes

• Cross-training and mentoring are provided with 2 current occupational therapists in the district
• Alcohol breathalyzer testing is not required for this facility
