Description
Pediatric ER Nurse
Location
- Franklin, Tennessee
Schedule
- 13-week travel/contract assignment
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- One opening starts on days and moves to nights after 4 weeks; one opening is nights for the full contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room (3 years of experience)
- Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course or ENPC
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- ENPC or TNCC
- NVCI
Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements
- Criminal background check within 60 days of start
- Education verification
- SAM check within 30 days of start
- OIG check within 30 days of start
- Primary source license verification before start
- Nursys verification before start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 60 days of start
- Negative drug screen within 60 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
- COVID vaccine documentation preferred if received
- 2 professional references within 2 years of start
- Employment application

- Review of the lunch and break policy
Additional Notes
- Fit testing is completed onsite during orientation
- Background hits must be sent to the facility for approval

Located about 20 miles south of Nashville, Franklin offers lots of small-town charm with its historical heart on and around Great American Main Street that runs through the 16-block downtown area. It's fun just to wander, with many magnificent homes and mansions, including impressive antebellum architecture. Explore the shops, galleries and restaurants, visit local distilleries to sample Tennessee whiskey and catch a show at the historic Franklin Theater. History buffs have much to uncover, including the Carter House, riddled with bullet holes from the Battle of Franklin during the Civil War. The Carnton Plantation, which served as a hospital during the war, is open to the public for tours.
