Description
Medical Surgical RN
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Pennsylvania
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Weekend coverage: every other weekend
- No call required
- Floating may be required to other departments
- May care for COVID patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Schedule Expectations
- Must work 2 of 3 major holiday periods if the contract spans all three; if it spans only 2, must work 1 of 2
- Maximum requested time off: 7 days
- Holiday coverage as needed
Unit Focus
- General medical/surgical patients, including hip fractures, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, and bowel obstructions
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- 2 professional references within 3 years of start
- Most recent resume/application
- Background check and state-specific screening requirements
- Education verification
- Drug test
- Fit testing for patient-facing staff
- Health screening and immunization documentation
- Signed facility documents and onboarding modules before start
