Job Overview
- Location: Thornton, Colorado
- Employment type: Travel
- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
Preferred Qualifications
- Cardiac experience
- Prior Meditech experience
Unit Details
- Progressive Care unit
- 24 beds
- Patient ratio: 5:1
- Night shift staffing includes a charge nurse, 4-5 RNs, and 2 PCTs
- Tele monitoring and post-op monitoring equipment
- Meditech / CPN EMR
Common Patient Population / Procedures
- Post-op recovery for surgical and cath lab patients
- Post-op orthopedic patients, including spine and joint cases
- Elective orthopedic, spine, and GYN surgeries
- Elective cath lab procedures
- Stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, respiratory failure, and cardiac drip patients

- Friendly, outgoing, teamwork-oriented unit
- Brand new state-of-the-art unit
- ADA/Bari rooms
- Hoyer lifts
- Modified self-scheduling with schedules posted 3 weeks in advance
