Job Overview

Location: Thornton, Colorado

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

Cardiac experience
Prior Meditech experience

Unit Details

Progressive Care unit
24 beds
Patient ratio: 5:1
Night shift staffing includes a charge nurse, 4-5 RNs, and 2 PCTs
Tele monitoring and post-op monitoring equipment
Meditech / CPN EMR

Common Patient Population / Procedures

Post-op recovery for surgical and cath lab patients
Post-op orthopedic patients, including spine and joint cases
Elective orthopedic, spine, and GYN surgeries
Elective cath lab procedures
Stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, respiratory failure, and cardiac drip patients

Work Environment

Friendly, outgoing, teamwork-oriented unit
Brand new state-of-the-art unit
ADA/Bari rooms
Hoyer lifts
Modified self-scheduling with schedules posted 3 weeks in advance
