Description

Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

  • Travel/contract RN position in Kansas City, Missouri
  • 13-week assignment
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Labor and Delivery / Recovery / Postpartum unit
  • Acute care hospital setting

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP
  • EFM
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Antepartum experience

Schedule and Assignment Details

  • Weekend rotation required: 4–6 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays per 6-week schedule
  • 2 mandatory on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
  • May be assigned charge RN duties as needed
  • May float within the LDRP unit and to related areas as needed
  • Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities
  • Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
  • RTO limit: no more than 7 days
  • Block scheduling not available

Clinical Focus

  • LDRP care including triage, c-section cases, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and full couplet care
  • Vaginal births, c-sections, postpartum care, antenatal testing, post-op GYN, external cephalic version, and antepartum patients
