Description

NICU Registered Nurse

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Dayton, Ohio
  • ASAP start
  • 13-week contract
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekends required
  • Floating required to inpatient units when not needed in the NICU

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN preferred
  • More than 2 years of NICU experience preferred
  • G-tube and trach experience preferred

Skills / Clinical Competencies

  • Central line, PICC, and umbilical line competency
  • Skilled in oxygen delivery methods including nasal cannula, high flow, CPAP, NIV, and ventilator support

Compliance / Onboarding

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • E-Verify proof or attestation
  • Background check with 7-year criminal history review
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Onsite fingerprinting at orientation
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
  • Physical exam, updated annually
  • Tdap vaccination
  • TB screening
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation
  • 10-panel drug screen before start
  • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • Unit-specific skills checklist, updated annually
  • Annual competency documentation

Schedule / Dress Code

  • Navy blue scrub top
  • Navy blue or black scrub pants
