NICU Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Dayton, Ohio
ASAP start
13-week contract
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
36 hours per week
Weekends required
Floating required to inpatient units when not needed in the NICU

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

BSN preferred
More than 2 years of NICU experience preferred
G-tube and trach experience preferred

Skills / Clinical Competencies

Central line, PICC, and umbilical line competency
Skilled in oxygen delivery methods including nasal cannula, high flow, CPAP, NIV, and ventilator support

Compliance / Onboarding

Government-issued photo ID
E-Verify proof or attestation
Background check with 7-year criminal history review
EPLS/GSA/SAM check
HHS/OIG check
Onsite fingerprinting at orientation
Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
Physical exam, updated annually
Tdap vaccination
TB screening
Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation
10-panel drug screen before start
Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
Unit-specific skills checklist, updated annually
Annual competency documentation
